Chunky Monkey Ice Cream...
I hate it when people stare, infact I despise that stupid habit especially when its done to meeeeeeeeee. Ughhhhh, sometimes I can really hate men. You’d think I’d get used to it by now, especially being out here, a male dominated place, for almost 3 years. But nope, cannot for the life of me get used to their eyes scouring every inch of me. At times I want the ground to open and swallow me up. I mean seriously, if you see me, you’d think Im a tomboy. I deliberately dress that way so I don’t have idiots looking and I know Im no where near sexy. So what is it with these men?
I also know they do it with all the other women around but me, I just couldnt hack it anymore. So today, as I was walking back to the office, a group of men just stopped their conversation and began their eye scavenging habit. You know what I did? I stopped, stared back, gave them one of my dirtiest looks and said “Is there a problem?” You woulda thought they’d get embarrassed and quit, but nooooooooooooo…They friggin smiled and said “How are you doing?” OH MY GOD!!! I have to thank the Lord I don’t own a gun!
And no, I don’t get flattered, and I never will…Ughhhhhhhhh. Maybe I should start wearing a abbaya and cover my face as well. How about that? As Im writing this I remembered a very funny incident that happened to me a long long time ago. Its funny now but believe me it wasn’t then. I was out with two of my girlfriends in AD. We were walking in what was then known as the “Indian Souq”, which they demolished by the way. Anyways, as we were walking, I felt someone touch my derriere, and MY GOD, did I have an excellent reflex.
I turned around, slapped the man’s face and started screaming atrocities at him. At that precise second, in the most crowded place you’d ever find in AD, if a needle was dropped Yes you would have definitely heard it. That’s how silent the place became. The man’s face went all ashen, and my girlfriends freaked out having no idea what had happened. Lol…I guess that B***** didn’t expect such a reaction, thinking hey, she is a woman, she is weak!!! WRONGGGGGGGGGGGG, some of us may be weak in the muscle department, but Im definitely not weak in the tongue (which happens to be the strongest muscle in the body) department… ;-)
Maybe it aint my day, cuz that wasn’t the only unpleasant episode taking place. Ive been put in a situation where two men, yup story of my life, are fighting each other’s egos’. But I aint gonna go into the details, cuz Im simply not in the greatest of moods to disclose anything yet.
On a different note, whats the big deal with this superbowl thing??? We got numerous emails today saying that anyone wanting to watch the superbowl game, and cant come into work early (cuz they will be up all night for the lateness of the game here), its ok, but they need to make up the hours later. I told you this is a male chauvinist place. Would they have sent a similar email if it was lets say, ummm, the Victoria’s Secrets annual fashion show??? Nooooooooooo…ofcourse they wouldn’t….Ughhhhhh. For now though, ignoring all that’s happening around me, life would be nice if it was just me, myself and HUBBY…And maybe some of that yummy Chunky Monkey Ice cream…

From your photo you look like a very beautiful woman, so yes men will stare. I can honestly say only for a very short time in my life I was able to look at ladies as a perfect sister from God and that was after months of prayer and meditation. That thought pattern only lasted two weeks, that was almost 30 years ago.
I think almost all men fall into the group of Harry as represented by the conversation that Harry and Sally had in her car when they left their college in the movie "When Harry meet Sally" if you have not seen it is is a good movie.

You thinking that the solution is to put on abaya is their ultimate goal. Then they will have won control of you. I think if every woman reacted to stares or gropes the way that you did (and I would)then the behavior would eventually stop. I think the Superbowl is only a big deal to Americans, Neurotica. I don't think anyone else cares much about it. But we do :)

Nothing to do with these things you mention. And I'm having trouble believing you are endorsing "penis chopping" as a method of resolving marital problems. That's disgusting and you should be ashamed of yourself for that.
Somewhere I still have the two day comic strip run from "Arlo and Janis" written in response to a then recent survey about how frequently men think about sex.

The next day he explains that sex is the default (computer)setting of the male mind. Nothing evil or planned, just the way they're wired.
And if you consider that all of creation is inherently female (the ovum is always female, only the sperm goes either way, spin 'em and the lightweight Y chormosone male ones rise to the top) it's easy to see that the male of the species exist solely for sexual procreation. So cut them some slack, they can't help the wiring.
But next time you stare back, ask them if their mother didn't raise them any better!
We are a few steps above reacting on pure animal instinct after all.

Communication is not perfect. In matrimony people tie a knot and foresee their connected appearance as a tap from every vein under God in "life". Even the drugs of Football and Booze have a face and a story. Maybe the feminine mystique is a 2 way street. If you don't let them win they get sloppy. If they aren't drunk they won't be able to be gay under social anxiety. One two punch slave ownership. Just like Hoodoo in the deep south. Right under there noses. When they are gay they can live "out of time" with focus on the simple rules of football marketing. When they aren't on the drug of football they live "in time" like dogs and react with whatever discipline they hold in their own concept of what they feel is right and wrong. When they are off of social drugs like football and booze they tell the truth of their actual emotional wealth. Fear Sunday? Like the 90's? When I turn out these lights! They aren't prepared. About Football and all the craziness with it, I remember someone who got excited about a Soccer game.
About men staring at women. I would do some study on Human mating behavior.
About the "staring" thing... most women want to be looked at. I stopped being surprised at some of the outfits women wear at the gym, and the efforts they sometimes go to to strike sexy poses while they are exercising, a long time ago. Guys just how up in dirty torn up tee shirts and sweats.
But nobody likes to be stared at. Even guys. There's something threatening about being stared at. Especially if it's a "leering" kind of thing.

I have had this opinion because I see it as a weakness on the man's part. Men being unable to control their hormones when they see women without a abbayah. I tend to agree with the statement that most weman dress to show but want to be treated selectivly depending on their mood. It is a sad fact that ladies like neritoca get dragged into the male behavior her sexual sisters help generate. My example is this a lng time go a friend on the beach in wikiki stared at a female that was in a very small spandex string bikini when he st ared at what was a bisicly totally naked very good looking female in what he said was a killer bod she called him a pervert!!!! sorry laides dance naked I will stare and ask for another beer.

When I used to live in London, many people from the Gulf countries would spend their vacation there, during summer. Most of the women, especially ones from the UAE, would still wear their abbayas and shaylas(head cover) and walk in the streets etc. The men from these countries, having no clue how those women look like, still follow them around, throwing their phone numbers at them etc...Which actually breaks the rule that if you do cover up, no one looks.

If that's you in the photo, I might give you a long look too when first seeing you:) But it is rude to stare for too long, and I've noticed that Arab men do this way too often. They probably wouldn't do it if more women DON'T wear 3ibaya - that way they will get used to the sight of women walking around in jeans or whatever, and they wouldn't be so screwed up in the head.

Then the Middle East is a great big football stadium. Hormones are the best Football, that's not a difficult connection. You have different types of Hormone addicts just like different Football Jordan's. I don't use any drugs. Honestly, the Uniform, Arab people wear represents their practice in time under the Sun. When they are with time they are not with lust. It's a circular argument. Why don't you see that? A man who thinks a woman needs to be beaten or raped to keep her in her place deserves a woman who would try to murder him ion his sleep, and a woman who would rather murder her husband in his sleep instead of getting a divorce deserves a man who will abuse her.
In the world you envision, no sane person would ever get involved with somebody without getting a background check done on them first, to see if they have any history of mental health problems. Do you think any man would want to be in a relationship with you after reading what you wrote here?
Oh, my husband of 19 years knows me well and he thoroughly enjoys his relationship with me. But,then again, he is very well behaved.

I agree staring is rude. However, why not show your confidence by flashing a dazzling smile as you pass by? Dressing like a tomboy makes it clear that you're not interested. Plus, you can always hold up your left hand displaying your wedding ring to make it extra clear. Trust me....20 years from now, you'll kind of miss receiving the appreciative looks.
